Alzheimer's Disease
Alzheimer’s is the most famous and common form of dementia that inflicts many Americans, typically age 60 and above, although early-onset forms of the disease exist. There are over 3 million new cases diagnosed each year. This brain disorder is a progressive disorder that slowly destroys the memory and thinking skill of the individual inflicted. This ultimately destroys the person’s ability to perform simple tasks. There is no cure. Long-Term Care Insurance provides coverage for the supervision and other care required by a person who suffers from the disease.
